Rules and Regulations

Qualifying Age

  • University Students : Participants must be 18 – 25 years old as of Event Day.
  • Young Executives    : Participants must be 21 – 30 years old as of Event Day.
  • Corporate Runners  : Participants must be 18 – 70 years old as of Event Day.

 

Finisher Medals & Certificates

  • Participants who complete the race are entitled for a finisher medal and an e-certificate. The e-certificates will be made available on the website by 6pm 15 September 2017.
  • Participants in the individual categories will get an individual e-certificate, while participants in the team categories will get a team e-certificate.
  • All finisher medals must be collected on Event day and no requests will be entertained thereafter.
  • If you face any problems downloading or printing these certificates, kindly contact us before 30 September 2017.

 

Timing System

  • All participants will be timed using the BibTag timing system.
  • A BibTag is a single tag attached onto the back of the bib number.
  • The foam spacer contains a timing chip and the timing mats on the course record the time.
  • All participants must wear the bib numbers visibly on his/her chest or torso.
  • All participants must use a pin for each corner of the bib number and must not pierce the tag.
  • The BibTag must be kept free from bends and tears, and cannot be folded or ripped.
  • Participants who do not wear bib numbers will be taken off the course by security officers/ officials and immediately disqualified.


Winners Verification & Awards Allocation

  • All winners must produce an original identity card (Malaysians) or passport (Non-Malaysians) before collecting their prizes at the Winner Verification Centre.
  • The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify any non-complying participants.
  • The Organisers reserve the right to replace any winner if he/she is found to be disqualified.
  • For prize winners or possible prize winners, disputes and appeals must be made within 30 minutes of the published results on the results notice board on-site or immediately after the prize presentation, whichever is earlier, failing which the Organiser reserves the right not to entertain any disputes or appeals thereafter.
  • For all other participants, disputes and appeals regarding the results must be submitted in writing including electronic mail within 4 days of the Event day. The Organiser reserves the right not to entertain any dispute or appeal thereafter.
  • The “Gun Time” will be used to determine the top 3 winners for each of the following categories:
    • 1.5 km CEO/C-Suite Run Men
    • 1.5 km CEO/C-Suite Run Women
    • 5 km Corporate Challenge Men
    • 5 km Corporate Challenge Women
    • 5 km Future Leaders Challenge Men (1 category only)
    • 5 km Future Leaders Challenge Women (1 category only)
    • 2.5 km Corporate Relay
    • 2.5 km Future Leaders Relay (1 category only)
    • 2.5 km Ministry Relay (Bonus)
    • 2.5 km Media Relay (Bonus)
  • The team with the lowest aggregate “Net Time” of their top 3 runners (at least 1 female runner must be in the results) will be declared the winning team of the following categories:
    • 5 km Corporate Challenge Team (Bonus)
    • 5 km Future Leaders Team (1 category only)


Categories Information & Run Mechanism

  • 1.5 km CEO/C-Suite Run
    • Distance: 1.5 km
    • Under Corporate Registration (5km Corporate Challenge/2.5km Corporate Relay), each team registered will get ONE complimentary entry to participate in the 1.5km CEO/C-Suite Run (CEO or C-Suite). 
    • Start time: 3:00 pm
    • Type: Individual
    • Exclusive for CEOs and C-Suites
    • The first CEO/C-Suite to cross the Finish line will be declared the winner
    • Awards:
      • Top 3 Men
      • Top 3 Women
      • Run Mechanism:
        • All participants will run the 1.5 km route individually
        • Flag-off and finish at the Start/ Finish line

  • 5 km Corporate Challenge & Future Leaders Challenge (Young Executives/University Students)
    • Distance: 5 km
    • Start time: 3:20 pm
    • Type: Individual and team
    • Future Leaders (Young Executives/University Student) is treated as 1 category
    • Number of participants per team: 4 (for team category)
    • Each team must have at least 1 female runner
    • The first runner to cross the finish line will be declared the winner (for individual category)
    • The team with the lowest aggregate “Net Time” of their top 3 runners (at least 1 female runner must be in the results) will be declared the winning team (for team category)
    • Awards:
      • Top 3 Men
      • Top 3 Women
      • Top 3 Corporate Team (Bonus)
      • Top 3 Future Leaders Team
      • Top 3 Future Leaders Men
      • Top 3 Future Leaders Women
      • Run Mechanism:
        • All participants will run the 5 km route individually
        • Flag-off and finish at the Start/Finish line

  • 2.5 km Corporate Relay & Future Leaders Relay
    • Distance: 2.5 km
    • Start time: 3:30 pm
    • Type: Team (Relay)
    • Future Leaders (Young Executives/University Students) is treated as 1 category
    • Number of participants per team: 4 runners (2 pairs)
    • Each team must have at least 1 female runner
    • The first team (second pair) to cross the finish line will be declared the winning team
    • Awards:
      • Top 3 Corporate Relay
      • Top 3 Future Leaders Relay
      • Top Media Corporate Relay (Bonus)
      • Top Ministry Corproate Relay (Bonus)
      • Run Mechanism:
        • The team will run in pairs. Each pair runs 1 loop (2 runners first loop, 2 runners second loop)
        • For each pair, runners are bonded to each other by holding a relay tie at each end without being tied to it for safety reasons
        • The first pair will flag-off at the Start/Finish line. They must complete the first loop before handing over the lei (wreath of flowers) to the second pair at the Relay Exchange Zone
        • The second pair will start the run from the Relay Exchange Zone (after the first pair has arrived and handed over the lei within the Relay Exchange Zone). The second pair will finish the run at the Start/ Finish line
        • The first pair will have to walk to get back to the Event venue
        • The second pair will have to walk to the Relay Exchange Zone to start the run.
        • Any team which did not follow the run mechanism correctly will be immediately disqualified 
  • Participants who do not start within 5 minutes of the respective flag offs (1.5 km, 2.5 km, 5 km), for safety reasons may not be allowed to start and will be immediately disqualified.


Event Cancellation, Amendments & Safety

  • The Organiser reserves the right to cancel the Event at any time without prior notice to the participants, in which case the Organiser will make effort to inform the participants prior to the date of the Event. If the Event has to be cancelled, there shall be no refund of fees paid unless the Organiser deems fit to give a refund and the Organiser shall not be held liable for any loss or inconvenience caused.
  • There will strictly be no fee refund if the Event is cancelled for reason of force majeure i.e. due to occurrence of incidents that are beyond the control of the Organiser or acts of God which renders it impossible or unsafe to hold the Event.
  • The Organiser reserves the right to amend the Event race routes as it deems fit for the safety of the participants and/or to prevent any potential hazards in the running of the Event, at any time without prior notice to the participants. In such cases, every effort will be made to inform the Participant prior to the date of the Event. The Organiser shall not be held liable for any loss or inconvenience caused due to such changes.
  • While every reasonable precaution will be taken by the Organiser to ensure the participants’ safety, Participants run solely at their own risk and the Organiser will not be responsible or held liable for any injury or death howsoever arising from training for, during, or after participation in the Event. Participants are strongly encouraged to go for a medical examination and/or consult their medical practitioners prior to registration and before the actual Event day.
  • The Organiser reserves the right to amend any part of the Rules & Regulations without prior notice to the participants.
