Rules and Regulations

Qualifying Age

  • Corporate Runners (Open)  : Participants must be 18 – 70 years old as of Event Day.
  • Corporate Runners (Veteran) : Participants must be 50 – 70 years old as of Event Day.
  • Para Runners : Participants must be at least 18 years old as of Event Day or older.
  • University Students : Participants must be 18 – 25 years old as of Event Day.
  • Young Executives : Participants must be 21 – 30 years old as of Event Day.

Finisher Medals & Certificates

  • Participants who complete the race are entitled to a finisher medal and an e-certificate. The e-certificates will be made available on the website by 6pm on 28 September 2018.
  • Participants in the individual categories will get an individual e-certificate, while participants in the team categories will get a team e-certificate.
  • All finisher medals must be collected on the Event day and no requests will be entertained thereafter.
  • If you face any problems downloading or printing these certificates, kindly contact us before 15 October 2018.

 

Timing System

  • All participants will be timed using the BibTag timing system.
  • A BibTag is a single tag attached onto the back of the bib number.
  • The foam spacer contains a timing chip and the timing mats on the course record the time.
  • All participants must wear the bib numbers visibly on his/her chest or torso.
  • All participants must use a pin for each corner of the bib number and must not pierce the tag.
  • The BibTag must be kept free from bends and tears, and cannot be folded or ripped.
  • Participants who do not wear bib numbers will be taken off the course by security officers / officials and immediately disqualified.


Winners Verification & Awards Allocation

  • All winners must produce an original identity card (Malaysians) or passport (Non-Malaysians) at the Winners Verification Centre before collecting their prizes.
  • The Organising Committee reserves the right to disqualify any non-complying participants.
  • The Organising Committee reserves the right to replace any winner if he/she is found to be disqualified.
  • For prize winners or possible prize winners, disputes and appeals must be made within 30 minutes of the published results on the results notice board on-site or immediately after the prize presentation, whichever is earlier, failing which the Organising Committee reserves the right not to entertain any disputes or appeals thereafter.
  • For all other participants, disputes and appeals regarding the results must be submitted in writing including electronic mail within 5 days of the Event day. The Organising Committee reserves the right not to entertain any dispute or appeal thereafter.
  • The “Gun Time” will be used to determine the TOP 3 winners for each of the following categories:
    • 1.5 km CEO/C-Suite Run Men Open
    • 1.5 km CEO/C-Suite Run Men Veteran
    • 1.5 km CEO/C-Suite Run Women Open
    • 1.5 km CEO/C-Suite Run Women Veteran
    • 1.5 km Para Run
    • 3 km Corporate Challenge Men Open
    • 3 km Corporate Challenge Men Veteran
    • 3 km Corporate Challenge Women Open
    • 3 km Corporate Challenge Women Veteran
    • 5 km Corporate Challenge Men Open
    • 5 km Corporate Challenge Men Veteran
    • 5 km Corporate Challenge Women Open
    • 5 km Corporate Challenge Women Veteran
    • 5 km Future Leader Challenge Men (1 category only)
    • 5 km Future Leader Challenge Women (1 category only)
  • The team with the lowest aggregate “Net Time” of their top 3 runners (at least 1 female runner must be in the results) will be declared the winning team of the following categories:
    • Top 3 - 5 km Corporate Challenge Team (Bonus)
    • 5 km Ministry Challenge Team (Bonus)
    • 5 km Media Challenge Team (Bonus) 


Categories Information & Run Mechanism

  • 1.5 km CEO/C-Suite Run
    • FEATURED Run
    • Distance: 1.5 km
    • Start time: 3:00 pm
    • Exclusive for CEOs and C-Suites only
    • Type: Individual
    • Under Corporate Registration (3 km Corporate Challenge/5 km Corporate Challenge), each registered corporate team will get ONE complimentary entry to participate in this category
    • The first CEO/C-Suite to cross the Finish line will be declared as the winner
    • Awards:
      • Top 3 - CEO/C-Suite Men Open
      • Top 3 - CEO/C-Suite Men Veteran
      • Top 3 - CEO/C-Suite Women Open
      • Top 3 - CEO/C-Suite Women Veteran
    • Run Mechanism:
      • All participants will run the 1 km route individually
    • Flag-off and finish at the Start / Finish line
  • 1.5 km Para Run
    • FEATURED Run
    • Distance: 1.5 km
    • Start time: 3:00 pm
    • Exclusive for mentally/physically challenged runners. However, due to safety reasons, runners on wheelchairs or hand bikes are not allowed. All Para runners must meet the eligibility requirements determined by the Organising Committee
    • Type: Team of 2 (1 Para Runner + 1 Guide Runner from Bursa Malaysia)
    • The first Para Runner to cross the Finish line will be declared the winner
    • Awards:
      • Top 3 - Para Runner
    • Run Mechanism: 
      • All Para Runner must run the 1 km route with their Guide Runner at all times. 
    • Flag-off and finish at the Start/ Finish line
  • 5 km Corporate Challenge
    • MAIN Run
    • Distance: 5 km
    • Start time: 3:20 pm
    • Open to all employees of participating companies/organisations
    • Type: Team of 4 ( each Team member run as an individual)
    • Each team must have at least 1 female runner
    • The first runner to cross the finish line will be declared the winner (for individual category)
    • Awards:
      • Top 3 - 5 km Corporate Challenge Men Open
      • Top 3 - 5 km Corporate Challenge Men Veteran
      • Top 3 - 5 km Corporate Challenge Women Open
      • Top 3 - 5 km Corporate Challenge Women Veteran
    • The team with the lowest aggregate “Net Time” of their top 3 runners (at least 1 female runner must be in the results) will be declared the winning team (for team category)
    • Awards:
      • Top 3 - 5 km Corporate Challenge Team (Bonus)
      • Top - 5 km Ministry Challenge Team (Bonus)
      • Top - 5 km Media Challenge Team (Bonus)
    • Run Mechanism
      • All participants will run the 5 km route individually
    • Flag-off and finish at the Start/Finish line

  • 5 km Future Leader Challenge
    • MAIN Run
    • Distance: 5 km
    • Start time: 3:20 pm
    • Open to Young Executives and University Students
    • University Students must have a valid Student ID
    • Type: Individual
    • The first runner to cross the finish line will be declared as the winner
    • Awards:
      • Top 3 - 5 km Future Leader Challenge Men
      • Top 3 - 5 km Future Leader Challenge Women
    • Run Mechanism
      • All participants will run the 5 km route individually
    • Flag-off and finish at the Start/Finish line

  • 3 km Corporate Challenge
    • FEATURED Run
    • Distance: 3 km
    • Start time: 3:30 pm
    • Open to all employees of participating companies/organisations
    • Type: Team of 4 ( each Team member run as an individual)
    • Each team must have at least 1 female runner
    • The first runner to cross the finish line will be declared the winner (for individual category)
    • Awards:
      • Top 3 - 3 km Corporate Challenge Men Open
      • Top 3 - 3 km Corporate Challenge Men Veteran
      • Top 3 - 3 km Corporate Challenge Women Open
      • Top 3 - 3 km Corporate Challenge Women Veteran
    • There will be no Team Awards for this category
    • Run Mechanism:
      • All participants will run the 3 km route individually
    • Flag-off and finish at the Start/Finish line
  • Participants who do not start within 5 minutes of the respective flag-offs (1km, 3 km, 5 km) may not be allowed to start and will be immediately disqualified due to safety reasons.


Event Cancellation, Amendments & Safety

  • The Organising Committee reserves the right to cancel the Event at any time without prior notice to the participants, in which case the Organising Committee will make effort to inform the participants prior to the date of the Event. If the Event has to be cancelled, there shall be no refund of fees paid unless the Organising Committee deems fit to give a refund and the Organising Committee shall not be held liable for any loss or inconvenience caused.
  • There will strictly be no fee refund if the Event is cancelled for reason of force majeure i.e. due to occurrence of incidents that are beyond the control of the Organising Committee or acts of God which renders it impossible or unsafe to hold the Event.
  • The Organising Committee reserves the right to amend the Event race routes as it deems fit for the safety of the participants and/or to prevent any potential hazards in the running of the Event, at any time without prior notice to the participants. In such cases, every effort will be made to inform the Participant prior to the date of the Event. The Organising Committee shall not be held liable for any loss or inconvenience caused due to such changes.
  • While every reasonable precaution will be taken by the Organising Committee to ensure the participants’ safety, Participants run solely at their own risk and the Organising Committee will not be responsible or held liable for any injury or death howsoever arising from training for, during, or after participation in the Event. Participants are strongly encouraged to go for a medical examination and/or consult their medical practitioners prior to registration and before the actual Event day.
  • The Organising Committee reserves the right to amend any part of the Rules & Regulations without prior notice to the participants.
